Making the fork

Heres a bunch of process shots from making the fork

 Cutting the tines
Fitting the tang.  The wood is a Macasar Ebony I ordered off woodcraft.com, where they sell pen turning blanks (3/4"x 3/4"x 5") of all sorts of exotic hardwoods for like $2 apiece.

Silver and wood glued and riveted in place and begun to be finished
